FAQ

What does an assessment involve?

Individual assessments will be tailored to the child, however they will typically be completed over a single appointment of several hours, with breaks. Assessments generally include a detailed clinical interview with the parent/s, completion of validated questionnaire measures by teachers and family, child observations, standardised psychometric testing, and feedback with recommendations. Please see our Services page for more information on the types of assessments we offer.

Do you need a referral?

No, referrals are not needed for this type of assessment.

Is there a medicare rebate available?

Unfortunately, this type of assessment does not have an associated rebate.

How do I make an appointment?

The best way to make an appointment is to fill in the contact page form, or email contact@sydneypsychometrics.com.au with some information about your concerns. Following this, someone will be in touch to discuss suitable assessment types.

Where are you located?

Our innovative model provides assessment in your own home (Sydney Metropolitan area). The clinician will come to your home with all the equipment necessary for the assessment. All you need to provide is a quiet space, free from distractions, and with a hard flat testing surface such as a desk or table. A reliable WIFI connection is also required.

Alternatively, if you would prefer to attend the assessment in a clinic room, please contact us and we can work to arrange something suitable.
